What we are creating

A worldwide creative meeting place for peace.

Peace Through the Arts is being built as an open, welcoming home where creativity becomes a bridge between people, cultures and generations. We want children and adults to learn from artists around the world, make art of their own, share ideas safely, and discover how people in other places express hope, home, kindness and understanding.

It is not about deciding whose art is “best.” It is about creating together, seeing one another more clearly, and giving young people the tools to communicate across differences. Creativity, confidence, empathy, curiosity and communication can help children thrive in a changing world—and help all of us build a more peaceful one.

Learn. Create. Connect.

1
Learn

Discover free lessons, demonstrations and creative ideas from artists and educators.

2
Create

Use drawing, painting, sculpture, music, dance, writing, theater, photography and more to explore peace and shared humanity.

3
Connect

Share and respond through safe, moderated projects that help people understand lives and cultures beyond their own.

Creativity is a bridge

Peace begins when people stop being strangers.

Art can cross borders without needing everyone to speak the same language. A drawing, song, poem, dance, photograph or short film can say: This is what I love. This is what I fear. This is what I hope for.

An invitation to art content creators

Already teaching art online? We would love to help people discover your work.

If you are an artist, art teacher, maker or creative content creator who has already produced free, high-quality art instruction—a video, tutorial, demonstration, lesson or course—we would like Peace Through the Arts to become another doorway to it.

That could include how to draw, paint, sculpt, photograph, animate, make music, dance, write, act, craft, design, or explore another creative art. We are especially interested in content that is encouraging, accessible, family-friendly, culturally respectful, and able to inspire creativity, communication, understanding or peace.

✓ Your content stays where you created it✓ You keep ownership of your work✓ We link to and credit the original creator✓ Participation is free

Creator suggestion and contact details are coming soon. As we build the course library, we also plan to reach out to creators when we discover existing lessons that seem especially well suited to this mission.

A living global classroom

🌎 Global Pledge

Creativity gives people a way to live the values behind the Global Pledge—making our shared world better, healthier, safer and more peaceful.

Connected movements

From making art to living the promise.

Peace Through the Arts can become one of the most joyful ways to move from words to action.

Global Knights of Peace

Young people and adults can be recognized for going beyond saying the pledge—creating, learning, helping, sharing and acting with kindness, truth and courage.

Creative Peace Quests

Complete age-appropriate activities: make peace art, learn about another culture, thank a helper, collaborate with a classroom, or teach someone a creative skill.

“The children are not simply inheriting the future. They are already helping create it.”

Our job is to give them the creative tools, confidence, empathy and safe spaces to build something better.

Safety before scale

A global children’s project should be designed differently from social media.

That means fewer data points, stronger defaults, adult mediation, human moderation and no features that encourage private adult-child contact.

🛡️

No youth DMs

No private messaging between minors and strangers.

📍

No precise location

Country or broad region is enough; never publish a child’s address or live location.

👨‍👩‍👧

Adult-mediated

Youth art and responses come through a parent, guardian, teacher or approved organization.

👀

Moderated first

Submissions are reviewed before they appear publicly.
