Connection without unsafe contact

The Peace Exchange

A moderated, prompt-based conversation where people can answer with art and ideas—without private messaging between children and strangers.

How it works

One question. Thousands of creative answers.

Each prompt invites people around the world to respond. Youth responses are submitted through a parent, guardian, teacher or approved organization and reviewed before they appear.

Visual art

What does peace look like where you live?

Draw, paint, photograph or build a collage. Show places, people or moments that make you feel safe and connected.

Story / poetry

What would you like a child in another country to know about you?

Write a few sentences, a poem or a comic. No private contact information is included.

Music / movement

Can you create a welcome without words?

Make a short melody, rhythm, gesture or dance that communicates friendship.

Instead of direct messaging

We create conversations in the open, with moderation.

  • Responses attach to a shared prompt, not to a child’s private inbox.
  • Replies can be reviewed before publication.
  • Teacher-to-teacher exchanges can connect classrooms while adults manage communication.
  • Young artists never need to reveal an email, phone number or social handle.
  • Adults who want professional collaboration use a separate adult-only channel.

Example exchange

Classroom in Massachusetts: creates “Our Favorite Sounds of Home.”

Classroom in Kenya: responds with its own sound-map art.

Both classes: answer a shared prompt about what surprised them—through their teachers, not private student accounts.
